Life drowns its palms in fertile dirt
And grubs man out to light.
Pulls, tears, leaves marks and scars on him
To make man terrified.
As if to say: "There is nowhere
Whereto you can revert."
As if to say: "There is nowhere
Whereto you can revert."
Spine crooked and twisted, brittle bones,
Displaced jaw, scattered gaze
Attest his midwife's cruelty,
And yet you hear man say:
"Life shall form and deform me!
Hate the body, for I see:
If I remained in innocence,
I could not be complete."
And yet you hear man say:
"Life shall form and deform me!
Hate the body, for I see."
What an impressive piece of black metal. This one-man hurricane is pure art. Sgah‘gahsowáh creates an haunting atmosphere. He puts so much soul in his music. Sælzer Bub
The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.
